Tiller Housing 14AS

Tiller Housing 14AS

Description and Features The rudder head is a crucial component of the steering system, ensuring secure attachment and efficient operation of the lifting and lowering mechanism for the rudder blade. Made from high-strength, corrosion-resistant composite materials, it is known for its durability and ability to withstand the effects of water, salt, and dynamic loads. The head is designed for a 28mm diameter rudder shaft. Design Features: Quick Rudder Attachment: The internal reinforcing ribs of the housing form a cone shape, allowing the rudder to be quickly and securely fixed. To install, simply insert the rudder into the housing, and to remove, rotate it around its axis and carefully pull it out. This mechanism is ideal for frequent mounting and dismounting of the rudder. Built-in Cam Mechanism: The housing features an integrated cam mechanism connected to the rudder blade. This provides precise control and reliable fixation of the blade in the desired position. Stable Mounting for Long-Term Use: When long-term attachment of the rudder is required, additional mounting options are available. The user can choose the most suitable method from the provided options (see the attached photos). Advantages:
  • Convenience: Easy installation and removal of the rudder.
  • Flexibility: Option for temporary or permanent fixation.
  • Reliability: The design is engineered to withstand challenging operational conditions, ensuring stable performance of the steering system.
The rudder head is ideal for catamarans, dinghies, and other vessels where high reliability and frequent adjustments to the steering system are essential.
