Description and Features
The tiller housing is a key component of the steering system, integrated into the mechanism for raising and lowering the rudder blade, ensuring secure attachment of the tiller. Made from high-strength, corrosion-resistant composite materials, the tiller housing guarantees durability and resistance to water, salt, and dynamic stresses.
Design Features:
- Tiller Fixation:
The tiller housing features internal reinforcement ribs forming a conical shape, allowing quick and reliable fixation of the tiller. To secure the tiller, simply push it firmly into the housing. To remove it, rotate the tiller around its axis and gently pull it out. This mechanism is particularly convenient for frequent rudder removal.
- Integrated Screw Coupling:
The housing includes an integrated screw coupling connected to the rudder blade. This design element ensures precise control and secure fixation of the blade in the desired position.
- Secure Mounting for Long-Term Use:
For prolonged use, additional mounting options are available. Users can choose the most convenient fixation method from the provided options (see attached photos).
Advantages:
- Ease of Use: Simple installation and removal of the tiller.
- Versatility: Suitable for temporary or long-term tiller attachment.
- Reliability: Designed for operation in challenging conditions, ensuring stable performance of the steering system.
The tiller housing is designed to accommodate tillers with a diameter of 28mm, making it an ideal choice for catamarans, dinghies, and other boats where frequent adjustments and reliable steering are essential.
