Rudder 25 Blade 1

The Dotan® Kick-Up Rudder 25 is a universal outboard rudder system engineered for sailboats and dinghies between 4 and 6 meters (14–20 feet) in length.

This model uses a rudder blade with 640 mm immersion depth. The kick-up mechanism allows the blade to be raised or lowered instantly during beach launching, shallow water sailing, and when encountering underwater obstacles.

Materials & Construction

Rudder head — Glass-reinforced polyamide with high resistance to UV, corrosion, and mechanical stress.

Rudder blade — NACA 0009 hydrodynamic profile designed for low drag and stable steering performance. Manufactured using high-pressure and thermal shock technology with integrated internal reinforcement.

Tiller — Anodized aluminum tube ø28 × 1.5 mm with protective end cap.

Installation

The upper fitting slides along the guide rail and is secured with four supplied screws, allowing easy adjustment for different transom angles and stern configurations.
